INSTRUCTIONS FOR ADAPTING THIS BOILERPLATE
to a new software project or gnu.org article

1. In the line above starting with "Parent-Version:", remove the
"$Revision...$" from around the boilerplate revision number,
leaving just "Parent-Version:" and the revision number.

2. [Software] Replace "Baz" with the name of the program, and "Bar
Baz" with the maintainer's name.
[Article] Replace "Baz" in <title> and <h2> with the title of the
article.

3. [Software] Replace "baz" with the name of the package.
[Article] Replace "bug-baz@gnu.org" in the footer with
"webmasters@gnu.org".

4. Check the license and replace it as needed. For instance, pages
in the proprietary/ directory should be under CC BY 4.0.

5. [Software] Delete the comment that starts with "TRANSLATORS:"

6. [Software] Update the text with the actual information that applies
to the project, such as project location, mailing lists, etc.
Remove irrelevant sections, and feel free to adapt the wording
to your actual workflow. (For example, you don't have to use the
Translation Project facility to translate your program.)
[Article] Replace everything between </h2> and
</div>... for id="content"
with the text of the article, making
sure it follows the stylesheet guidelines:
https://www.gnu.org/server/standards/gnu-website-guidelines.html

7. Check that the text you added is XHTML-compliant (<br /> rather
than <br>, <p> rather than <P>, "&amp;" rather than "&", etc.)
In doubt, please refer to the W3C recommendations:
https://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1

8. Delete the present instructions.

files generated as part of manuals) on the GNU web server should
be under CC BY-ND 4.0. Please do NOT change or remove this
without talking with the webmasters or licensing team first.
Please make sure the copyright date is consistent with the
document. For web pages, it is ok to list just the latest year the
document was modified, or published.

If you wish to list earlier years, that is ok too.
Either "2001, 2002, 2003" or "2001-2003" are ok for specifying
years, as long as each year in the range is in fact a copyrightable
year, i.e., a year in which the document was published (including
being publicly visible on the web or in a revision control system).
