mktorrent 1.0 — Utility to create BitTorrent metainfo files

mktorrent is a simple command-line utility to create BitTorrent metainfo files, often known simply as torrents, from both single files and whole directories. It can add multiple trackers and web seed URLs, and set the private flag to disallow advertisement through the distributed hash table (DHT) and Peer Exchange. Hashing is multi-threaded and will take advantage of multiple processor cores where possible.

mlocate 0.26 — Locate files on the file system

mlocate is a locate/updatedb implementation. The 'm' stands for "merging": updatedb reuses the existing database to avoid rereading most of the file system, which makes it faster and does not trash the system caches as much. The locate(1) utility is intended to be completely compatible with slocate, and attempts to be compatible to GNU locate when it does not conflict with slocate compatibility.
