- Remove products from an inventory location.
- Literal inventory location adjustment.
- Transfer products from one inventory location to another.
- Some sort of cycle count functionality, an example of how cycle counting is used:
- Multiply each product's cost by it's annual usage
- Stratify products into 3 or more classes, for example
- Products in the top 80% become class A products
- Products in the next 15% become class B products
- Products in the bottom 5% become class C products
- Generate a list of products to count every day so that in the course of a year
- Class A products will have been counted 4 or more times
- Class B products will have been counted 2 or more times
- and Class C products will have been counted at least once
- A means of keying the results of these daily cycle counts in which corrects the system
to the counted value and tracks if the count was correct(hit) or not(miss) using these tolerences:
- Class A products are within 1% variance
- Class B products are within 3% variance
- Class C products are within 5% variance
- Inventory Record Accuracy (IRA) is calculated as the sum percentage of hits from the total number of counts.
Target IRA should be between 95% and 99%.
- And of course loads of reporting features such as
- Print part number labels
- Full transaction history for a product with timestamps ideally with users who performed transactions.

- Generate cycle count progress reports
- Generate inventory record accurracy report based on cycle count data
- Generate inventory tags
- Inventory variance reports, variance by value, variance by qty.
