GNU Miscfiles

This is a web page about the GNU Miscfiles package, which is a collection of files not of crucial importance for system administration or operation, but which have come to be common on various systems over the years. It includes data files for country codes, airport codes, currency information, and so on.

Miscfiles is looking for a maintainer. Programming skill is not needed, since the package does not include any programs. Rather, it's a matter of keeping these data files up to date on a regular basis and releasing new versions of the package. In addition, the sources and licenses of the various data needs to be investigated and recorded. If you're interested, please take a look at this general information about GNU packages and being a GNU maintainer, and then email maintainers@gnu.org with a bit about your background and interest. Thanks!
